Digital Speedometer Questiongiwojo 08-20-2003, 11:02 PM I saw an RX-8 at the dealership tonight and thought it was the best looking car for 30K Bar none. I noticed it had a digital speedometer, but the dealer said U.S. models would only read in MPH, with no metric mode. Is this true?? I would love to take a car like this to Germany in April but if it cant read Km/h the car is out of the question. I would think a car with as many features as the RX-8 would have a Metric conversion for speed.... optimuscivic 08-21-2003, 01:35 AM I saw an RX-8 at the dealership tonight and thought it was the best looking car for 30K Bar none. I would love to take a car like this to Germany in April but if it cant read Km/h the car is out of the question. I would think a car with as many features as the RX-8 would have a Metric conversion for speed.... as far as i know its just mph. i never thought about a kph. VelocityRedRX8 10-05-2003, 01:40 PM I'm pretty sure I saw something in the owner's manual indicating it's possible to switch from MPH to KPH. rxeightr 10-05-2003, 10:30 PM There is a button to the top & left of the Tach that allows you to change to metric. giwojo 10-09-2003, 07:30 PM Thats true. The Trip meters and the Odometer also switch over to metric when you press the button. That will come in handy when I head to germany in March =) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
