Cooper or Clubman?

Cooper or Clubman?

Which one would you go for. Personaly, i think id take the Clubman, reason being it looks more poor ass, and more like a ganster mini, hellfun!

and the nose on them is the styles

Depends on what you want. If you want to show off against the guys, go for the meaner Clubman. If you want attention from the women go for the adorable round Cooper nose . Personally in an estate form I like the clubman better and in normal form the the cooper.

I have a nice Clubman, a 1977 1275 GT with a rebuilt 1098.

Re: Cooper or Clubman?

There were build around 400 thousand clubman (1000, 1100 and 1275GT).
More than 5 million "round" minis were built.

Either way its all up to you. Personaly I've got 2 clubman. one 1971 clubman 1000 and a 1975 1275GT.
My father had one 1971 clubman 1000 and a 1974 Mini 1000 (round). He likes the round one ten times more.
If I were to buy a round Mini, I would go for a MK1 or Mk2.
Maybe also a Innocenti Cooper 1300 (Italian version)

Donīt have more garage space though

I have a 1966 mini and really feel that to capture the essence of the mini it needs to be a round nose. If you want uncompromising performance then go with the clubman and put a Vtec in it or somthing, but at that point why not just buy a Rabbit GTI. Don't get me wrong I've seen some clubmans that are CLEAN, maybe brown or tan with a stripe on the bottom of the door with the GT graphic on it. If I were gonig to buy a Clubman it would have to be a very stock restoration, which I know is the exact opposite why people buy clubbys in the first place. Anyways just my two cents. Oh yeah I'm new is there a big following of real minis on this site or just the BMW one?
