Question License Plate

Hi,

I recently saw a guy driving in a red civic with what looked like red plexiglass over his license plate. You could still see the plate number, but it looked really nice - does anybody know where I could find something like that?

Some auto parts stores have them. Otherwise search on www.google.com

I know you see them everywhere, but putting ANYTHING over your plate is illegal, even the clear covers.

Really....didn't know that...I was actually thinking of getting a plate cover...have also seen plenty of other cars with them here in Tampa, FL.

Well I got pulled over for speeding and the cop told me to take off my AEM plate thing and how you're not allowed to have ANYTHING covering it.

In the back of Motor Trend or some other magazine, cant remember, there were some Radar/laser reflecting plate covers. They had a pink color to them I heard of people getting fines of $200 just for having them on.

I'm not sure about all 50 states...you'll have to check w/your local law enforcement agency!
