Mph?dbris2002 08-12-2003, 10:54 AM I recently went from 185/70R13 tires to 205/70R14 tires. Does this change my speed to where i'm going faster than what my speedometer says? Or am I going the same speed as my speedometer says? 00accord44 08-12-2003, 11:05 AM go to Whalen Tire (http://www.whalentire.com) and go to the tites section. They tell you the changes made to your car (revs per mile, speed, etc) depending on your new tire size. I replaced my stock 195/60R/15s with 225/40/18s and it said when I am going 60mph, my speedo will say 59.7. Not bad at all. But some cars have much more of a difference. Cy@tirerack 08-12-2003, 03:17 PM Your speedometer is underestimating your actual speed by 8.3% so if your speedo shows 100MPH you're actually going 108.3MPH. 00accord44 08-12-2003, 04:24 PM Aaaahhh. Good observation. I never did those calculations. makes sense. Thats a much more noticalbe difference. How would I get this adjusted? Is it a matter of reprogramming the ECU (which I have NO idea how to do) or is it a mechanical adjustment??? BLU CIVIC 08-12-2003, 04:34 PM i think places like pep boys or places that sell and install rims will adjust your speedo...not free ofcourse Cy@tirerack 08-12-2003, 04:41 PM I would check out the accord portion of this site or accord specific site.
