I am trying to install a different spider injector in a 92 Jimmy 4.3L Vortec V6 (CPI). I had the injectors cleaned and it hasn't run right form that point till now. Bad idle, loss of power, can't hold a stead speed, generally running really rough. Then a few days ago a loud noise and nothing. Near as I can tell the engine is filling with gas. The hose (I think it’s called a nut kit wont stay on the injector assembly. I have a different spider injector and an EGR valve I was going to install, along with the nut kit. Which my GM dealer wants $77.00 for. (Anywhere to get this cheaper?) So, when installing the injector does the order they are place in the engine make a difference? I don’t know much about this but I would think the order they are placed in the engine would be critical. I called the GM dealer and was told the injectors all fire at the same time so the order doesn’t matter.
Does this sound right? Hopefully tonight I can bring this thing back from the dead.

Look on the injector assembly (spider) if there is no cylinder designation then it doesnt matter which cylinder the nozzles go in.
There is one injector in the assembly and it feeds fuel to the poppet nozzles.
Installing the nut kit is a smart move. Those lines are plastic and will break over time. You will need a Torx bit to remove the retainer on the back of the intake...Take your time with it, it is difficult to get to and the bolt is Lock-tited. if you round out the head of the bolt, most likely you are going to have to remove the intake to finish the repair

I wouldn't recommend installing a used spider assembly. Might cause a problem down the road.. (the one you had leaked!)

for I was just told that I have a serious leak inthe fuel pressure regulator. Where is the best place to get parts...spending the least?
