Please help - turn signal problem

Hello folks,

I am a newbie in this forum looking for some help. I have a 98 Safari. Today I found the left turn signal was not working, it turned out a burnt out rear light bulb. So I replaced it, no big deal. But once everything is put back in, the right turn signal (rear) blinks as well when I test the left turn signal, the front right is ok, it is not on. This is really weird. Any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

If you are sure of the fact that the correct bulb filament is burning, it is likely an issue of the turn, stop, brake, emergency flasher issue on the swich on the steering column. Ray
