Question J 36850 Assembly Fluid - what is?

Can anyone identify the generic aftermarket name for GM's J 36850 assembly fluid? What exactly is it?

GM cannot identify that particular part. What do you need it for?

J 36850 Assembly Fluid

The website Alldata.com claims that it is applied to the Automatic Transmission oil pan gasket during reassembly (Silverado). Anti-seize?

Just clean the gasket with solvent, dry and reinstall....torque to 10ft/lbs.

If the pan is equipped with a drain plug, put a little Loc-tite on the trheads.
