All U.S. 240sx's had a 4.08 final drive. Japanese/Australian/Everywhere else that didn't get screwed, had some different choices. They had a different final drive for the N/A's, Turbo's, and the AT's.
S13, S14, and S15 (varietta only) 5 speed:
N/A model - 4.08 (same as ours)
Turbo model - 3.69
S13, S14, and S15 AT:
N/A model - 4.08 (same as ours again)
Turbo model - 3.91
S15 6 speed:
Turbo only - 3.69
These are all R200 units, but the only difference is the S13 and S14 use the VLSD while the S15 uses the HLSD.
So you can use one of those if you wanted to change the final drive.
Like others said, you can use the diff from the N/A Z32 as well... Same final drive as ours already. The J30 diff will fit the 240sx as well. The J30 has a 3.96 final gear so you can change it with that also. The Z32 diff will fit the 240, but it requires a little bit extra work. It has a 5 point star looking output flange, so you will need to use the Z32 output shafts as well if you want to use that. The 94+ J30 has 3 pairs of bolts on the output flange, like the 240... so there would be no need to change the output shafts. When using the J30 LSD the only things you need to change are the J30 rear cover to the 240 cover because the J30 uses 2 big bolts instead of 4 small ones to mount in the rear. Also you need longer bolts for the front mounting because the J30 diff has thicker bushings than the 240.
