DensoSupra 09-13-2003, 03:52 AM And I ain't playing. NEVER, EVER disgrace a Supra by doing something stupid like that!!!!! Why don't you swap in a 2jzgte? killasoundz 09-13-2003, 02:58 PM cost is a big factor for some people. lets see 2JZGTE $3000 for one with cut wiring harness.. i can pick up a running small block just about anywhere for less than $200. but id rather put in a 1UZFE though. thats keeping it toyota and youll have gobs of N/A power EngineBuilder 09-14-2003, 08:20 PM The 1UZFE in my opinion would definately be a better choice. I was looking at getting one for my 85 until I found an 88 turbo donor car. Forget using the ford motor, unless you like oil leaks, and quite a bit of extra weight over the front of your car. Forget using the ford motor, unless you like oil leaks, and quite a bit of extra weight over the front of your car. Oil leaks in Ford 302/5.0 engines are rare, and usually the result of some dumbass not tightening down the valve cover ritght, or some jiffy Lube monkey overtightening the oil filter. And the Ford 5.0 weighs LESS than the Supra 6 cyl, and sits farther back (it's only 4 cyl long, after all). Weight balance with the Ford 5.0 OR the Chevy LT1 would be improved over the large inline 6. The Toyota/Lexus 1UZ-FE would be a much cooler choice, but over all a much costlier one for each hp gained. If any of you idiots want to kick his ass for not spending as much to get the car running again with higher hp, then you need to get over there and pay the extra money to make HIS car be the way YOU want it to be! Dumbasses! DensoSupra 04-14-2004, 11:27 AM If you want an american engine, go buy a damned american car. As far as the 1uzfe weighing more, where did you get your specs? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
