1998 identical to 1999 or not?

FYI

I bought a new 1999 Suburban in July 1998. I have seen a couple of threads here for parts no being available for 1999 or no reference in a parts inquiry to 1999.

As far as I know, the 1999 models were actually the same as 1998 models. Because they were about to introduce the new Sub based on the redesigned Silverado, they just continued building 98's into 99 without any mods (other than TSBs).

I have found all the standard parts so far are same for 1999 and 1998. If you know different, please advise.

BTW, great forum!!! Wish I could have found this about 2 years earlier.

Wink 1998 identical to 1999 or not

In 1999 they came out with two, the "new" body style and the "classic" body style. That is why you are seeing conflicting posts. Hope this helps.
