I'm helping a friend that wants to buy a truck with a 6.2 diesel GM motor. Used. I think an '87. Can anyone tell me what to look for or what questions to ask. Not familiar with diesels.

i havent been to fond of GM diesels at all I have the same truck and I swapped it out to a 350. How many miles? I can remember that I put alot of miles on it but too expensive to repair when it broke.
