OK so I got my 90 sx less than a week ago and decided to drive it today. As I start it up it puffed a pale blue smoke, I was like what the hell it didnt do this earlier? So I take it out to see if it was just on start up, so I gun it leaving and it just spewed brown smoke through 1st and half of 2nd gear! I don't know of it did this cuz the engine was still cold? The car hadn't been run but maybe once every week or two by the previous owner and hadnt had an oil change for im guessin upwards of 5k miles. So I changed the oil and filter and I havent had the chance to check it yet. If it's not that any ideas?

If you puffing blue smoke = you burning oil

as for the brown smoke = never seen it

If the previous owner didn't change oil after 5,000 miles!!! its bound to have problems. After you changed the oil and filter what did it do?

It smokes ALOT less on start up, but I havent had the chance to drive it down the road. I'll try again tomorrow. Anyone know about the brown smoke?

Could just be dirty exhaust pipes... maybe you need new sparks/ignition wires...

Yea I thought about that while I was at Advance auto in checkout, but I didn't know that would have anything to do with it. I guess I'll just give the car a tune-up I'm sure it needs
