Transmission Oil problems

Just in the last month, my 95 is givin me some problems. I would be revving up to 3 000 and not move a single inch.. and then all of a sudden it would lurch 10 feet ahead. (Its an automatic) My friend told me to check the tranny oil gauge, and I did, and found it to be empty. So i filled the tranny oil up, and it was fine for the next 2 weeks. But then 2 days ago, it started lurching again, and im like interesting. I checked the tranny oil and its empty again. Its not leaking, most likely overheating, what do i do to prevent it from overheating??

did you check under vechicle ? if no leak seen, could be disappearing into coolant. check your coolant to see if you have auto trans fluid in coolant. if you do, the cooler is leaking into radiator. if not, I've heard of the vaccum line sucking oil into the throttle body from the governor diaprhram and burning it in the cumbustion chamber. hope this helps.
