Hey! can anyone tell me the location of the fuel filter on the 02 2.7L 4x4? its time to change it, and before I go lay on the hot asphalt, I figured I would ask for help! any tips and tricks would really help out too. Thanks!
The fuel filter is under the intake, Under the left side of the engine if you are standing in front of the truck looking in. There are four bolts. Two hold the filter on and two hold the fuel lines to the filter. You can get to the front bolt from the hood. The others will be the easiest to reach if you pull off the drivers front wheel and pull off those black mud skirts. It will be the longest part of your tune up for sure.
Also make sure you don't ignite the gas you spill all over when you pull the old one. i kept a fire extinguisher close just in case.
