The trim on my civic is black, like most stocks, the car is White. I assume since its like a plastic if i paint it it will chip? i want it white as well, (im talkin bout the trim on bottom and by wheels) i wanna leave the trim instead of a body kit, but i think it would look better white, any sugestions?

Also, I waxed my car about a week ago, and got some of it on this trim, i cant seem to get it off, now i have white faded wax on my black trim! weak

With proper prep & paint anything can be painted.

Before waxing your car cover all black plastic trim with Exterior dressing, then remove excess before waxing.
How-to remove take some All purpose cleaner or degreaser & scrub with stiff brush - brass works well

Automagic makes a product called Special Cleaner Contentrate. Delute it to about 9:1, it will take that wax right off. Also great for removing splatter form polishing. This stuff has many mnay other uses at different levels of delution. It is a professional auto cleaning product, but if you look around at the places that sell the proffesion products, you should find it.
