srs light problem? what is that all about on the newer 01^ civics?

the stupid new civics have sensors everywhere because they are trying to promote safety. and everything we like to put in cars, ie neons and indiglo guages and such like that cause the srs light to pop on. nothing really big happens when it pops on jst a little something callen the airbags wont work properly.

Yep, when the SRS light is your airbags will not deploy. many things can cause it to come on, aftermarket crap like lights, cell phones, bad sensors, bad control unit. Your best bet is to take in & have the codes retrieved to see what your problem.

Is that true light comes on and air bag wont deploy?I put in a jdm cluster and of course it didn't have a plug for the SRS. So the SRS light just stay on. So one told me that it will still deploy it's just tell the ecu that it's not plug but for safty it will still deploy if you get in a reck.Is he right??
