Breaking the 100hp barrier...

allright... some may call me crazy... but ive got some money to blow and Im brainstorming ways to make my Justy less Crusty and more... ahhh Thrusty I suppose... at a whopping 67 hp at 5000rpm's theres lots of room for improvement... here is a list of some of my ideas for power...

remove all exaust restrictions (as of last weekend I can proudly say this is done, and I am now the owner of the loudest justy on the block, saving the cat for when emissions tests roll around in another 2 years)

weber carbuerator to replace 2 bbl Hitachi, ive seen these kits for 1.6 liter subaru engines, but not specifically the justy's 1.2, but I know that both use the 2bbl hitachi and maybe the mounts are the same? if not, friend of mine does alot of fabrication stuff... we will make it work...

now here comes the fancy stuff...

three potential routes...

1. higher compression pistons
2. crazy custom turbocharger set up
3. crazy custom supercharger set up

im leaning towards the supercharger at this point in time mainly beacause I found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33741

it definately is in the right engine size category... though... custom stuff would have to be made... but that will be the case in almost all potential Justy performance upgrades

if any one has any suggestions im all ears

You could always mill the cylinder head to increase compression. If they're available a performance cam could be used, but the engine would be less flexible. Porting and polishing the heads. An easier breathing air filter perhaps?

first off... the weber is an interesting idea.. but if u got a subaru... diddnt say what and which..... u gotta go the turbo route..... turf the weber..... buy a very decent funnel cone air filter... {need nice clean fresh air to feed your engine...}.. then a turbo.... forget what people say when they bitch about turbo lagg... who gives a F.u put a wastegate and blowoff valve in place and that takes care of getting you air... porting the head would definitly be advsable...then maybe change the degree of your cam...and bring compression to something manageable and then make sure you got good pressure in your turbo... 1.5 bar.... maybe more...

and then u gotta tune it...

unichip the box... if its an injector... and then maybe...(i rate it pointless)... increase fuel line size... mod your injectors.... then be brave and if u got little extra..... get good ports and injecors... 0.7mm foggers and kit out with N2O... but u need some balls and brains with that shit....
