A buddy of mine has a 1998 Z71 Silverado 5.7L that has a funny tranny glitch. The transmission seems have a clunk (is that a word?) when it engages overdrive. It usually happens when the truck is warmed up, and with the Ac on going down the highway. Any insight would be appreciated.

Ps. I have a 1995 Silverado 5.7L that doesn't do the above description of the tranny problem.:confused:

i think you have to get a hand-held computer to re-program your trans, some of them has a cable you can adjust, have you tried changing the filter
