01 dodge dakota problemquick-silver55 07-23-2003, 11:29 PM I have an 01 2.5l dakota sport when it takes turns it makes a poping noise in the rear i got out and shuck the bed and the sound is coming from the center of the wheel but when you jack the wheel up off the ground you can move the whole thing back and forth about two inches and it makes the same noise the truck only has 37000 miles on it someone please help. thanks quick silver :bloated:  :bloated: InsertClutch 07-24-2003, 10:50 AM Well well well....If its comming from the center of the wheel, it could just be unbalanced, ESPECIALLY if it's moving around ... I'm not sure though, this is just an idea ... My truck, a while back, had a blown rear right spring from a load and it caused a similar minus the wheel travel ... Dunno might wanna check wit a mech though... JS:bloated: Polygon 07-24-2003, 12:00 PM Yeah, take it in.
