My door chime on my '99 Tahoe stays on even when the door is closed. It will only go off when I remove my ignition key. Does anyone have any ideas as to the problem or have this problem with the door chime? The sound is killing me!!!:bloated:

Yeah underneath the dash is a little black box. I would go to a stero shop and have them just simply pull it out. Sorry but i can't exactly till you were it is, but i do know that it is under the dash by the emergency brake pedal.

Thanks for the help! I wonder what would cause this problem though and where it originated.

My stero installer told me that it happens all the time, i think that it is just a piece of junk. He says he removes them all the time just for that reason, they never shut off!
