Unhappy 99 Tahoe door chime

My door chime on my '99 Tahoe stays on even when the door is closed. It will only go off when I remove my ignition key. Does anyone have any ideas as to the problem or have this problem with the door chime? The sound is killing me!!!

Yeah underneath the dash is a little black box. I would go to a stero shop and have them just simply pull it out. Sorry but i can't exactly till you were it is, but i do know that it is under the dash by the emergency brake pedal.

Thanks for the help! I wonder what would cause this problem though and where it originated.

My stero installer told me that it happens all the time, i think that it is just a piece of junk. He says he removes them all the time just for that reason, they never shut off!
