I didn't know ludes could fly...Prelewd 07-20-2003, 05:06 AM So I'm coming home from an enchanting evening at the races.. I pull up next to this purple prelude SI at a stoplight. So I decide to test the water a bit and nudge up. He takes off, and I just pull ahead like normal. So i meet him again at the next light. I roll down the window: "hey, that an SI?" "Yea", he says. So I says to myself, "..shit, why not?" Light turns green, we both go to it. I pull on him to about half a car length, then hit the brakes because of the fast approaching railroad tracks. This guy just KEEPS ON GOING, hits the tracks, and takes off. I couldn't see the front too well, but his back wheels were about 6-7 inches off the ground. He lands like a 747 without landing gear, sparks flying everywhere... At first I was like :eek7: and then like :sly: and then :cwm27: . So we roll up to the next light, where we are both turning opposite ways and I look over and he gives me the peace sign. I'm still laughing right now. Funniest goddamn shit I've ever seen. -The Stig- 07-20-2003, 05:11 AM :spit: carrrnuttt 07-20-2003, 05:56 AM Originally posted by RedNeck383 :spit: What he said! BLU CIVIC 07-21-2003, 12:39 PM sounds like fun.....mabey he was reliving the scene from F&F:bigthumb: Prelewd 07-21-2003, 01:14 PM Originally posted by civicHBsi91 how fast do you think you have to go to get off the ground? I don't know, probably depends quite a bit on the ramp you are going off of. This particular one was a shallow incline that led to a steep incline. BLU CIVIC 07-22-2003, 08:26 AM actually this weekend i floored it and went over a huge speed ramp.....got .005 seconds of hang time:bigthumb: but came down really hard:tongue: car didn't even bottom out....must wasn't going fast enough:biggrin: KoRnboy 07-22-2003, 04:14 PM I jumped my my Max twice :evillol: it was sick, train tracks are the best... the second time I flew about 15 feet or maybe 20, and had all 4 wheels off the ground, hit the tracks at about 40... after that I'm not doing it anymore, I was lucky as hell that it made it, I didn't realize how fast I was going at the time... but it was fun as hell :bigthumb: Jay! 07-22-2003, 04:24 PM So he 'won,' then? :dunno: Maybe he's got a rally Prelude and was counting on the rough terrain. :p blacknight 07-22-2003, 04:53 PM can you say.....OUCH! POOR SUSPENSION:biggrin: whiteracer 07-22-2003, 08:39 PM that would be the best thing to do if i knew i'd walk away from it and the car would be fine afterwards. Prelewd 07-23-2003, 03:54 PM Originally posted by jay@af So he 'won,' then? :dunno: Maybe he's got a rally Prelude and was counting on the rough terrain. :p I'll give him the win. Anyone who would sacrifice their car for a silly street race obviously wants it more than I do. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
