i've got a question for all chevy fans

i know this is more a GM question but i'd like to knwo who here would like to see the old muscle cars built again EXACTLY like they were back in the 60's and 70's- huge engines, big bodies etc. Cause personally i think we need to go back to those rather than try to take pieces of them and incorperate those into new "retro" cars. Nothing beats a big Chevelle with a 454 that stock runs over 350 hp (depending)....... or what about the corvettes of old? they looked a hell of a lot better. Or even the Nova.

It's a heart-warming thought, but with rising CAFE standards, diminishing fossil fuels, and that pesky problem with global warming, I don't think we'll see those kinds of vehicles ever again.

I wholeheartedly agree.

yes but you forget one thing, that car companies are gready people..... those cars can be built really cheap, sold at a reasonably high price (some cheaper for the young kids) and every muscle car nut, which there are a lot of, would come out and sell what they needed to to afford one and buy it. Chevrolet, Pontiac, Olds, Dodge..... they'd all make a killing. i think that if enough people said that they wanted them that the car companies would try to get around every law on emmisions and all that crap that they could to build them. i know personally i'd want to buy at least four depending on what was brought back. plus, i don't see the problem if the cars weren't mass produced, because how many cars that are pre 1974(???) that don't have to be smogged or anything like that are there out there right now, they let those drive around, so if they were some what "limited-editions" you might be able to have a case to make them...... if i knew that there were enough people that thought liek me i know some people that are in pretty high places in GM and chevrolet and ford (although ford wouldn't be my first choice as a company to take part in this) that i would go and talk to to try and figure out if it would in the least be possible.

NOOOO even though i love the old cars.. if you bring them back it would make the people with the original feel like there is now worthless. these cars have a sentimental value because they are old and not everyone has them.. makes em kinda .. you know.. be proud owners

I had a 59 Corvette, a '63, and a 71. The new Z06 is faster, handles better, and is much more comfortable. Regarding looks, well, I like the 53 through 67's best.
