Tinted tail lights using VHT Nite Shades (What about clear coat?)

Alright, last week I tinted my tail lights using VHT Nite Shades. However, it doesn't have that nice and glossy look at all...it's very dull. What type of clear coat will i need? Someone told me I need some kind of enamel clear coat...any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, where can i buy this enamel clear coat?

Actually you're supposed to tin the outside of the lense. At least with this VHT Nite Shades stuff. Check it out http://www.pjhbrands.com/vht/nightshades.htm

Any automotive clearcoat will work fine. I just finished mine and they are quite shiny.

Re: Tinted tail lights using VHT Nite Shades (What about clear coat?)

I recently purchased nite shades for my Grand prix...(which can be viewed at http://members.cardomain.com/talia713) and I haven't applied it yet. Is there a certain way to make them shine instead of flat? Do I apply clear coat, and if so what kind? Thanks.
