what can i do about the rear reflectors?k2nride 11-18-2001, 10:32 PM i have a 95 lx. i want to take the red and orange reflectors off, but the acual taillights would look like they are sticking out. has anyone done this before? if i cant take them out, can i paint over them to match my car, or would you easily be able to notice them there. basically whats the best way to get rid of them. Heep 11-18-2001, 10:51 PM My car is a 1991, and 91-92 LX's did not have the reflectors at all, so you can see the attached pic to see what it looks like. As far as your car is concerned, I would think your best bet would be to paint them. Removal might leave some nasty marks or holes. If you could get a '91 or '92 hatch, that would get rid of the orange, but I don't know what you'd do about the red. k2nride 11-19-2001, 12:08 AM do you think you would be able to notice them very good? i want them to look like they are part of the frame. k2nride 11-24-2001, 05:33 PM i have a good idea for hiding my reflectors, but i dont know if its possible. do you think they make gts taillight blackouts that would go over the red and orange reflector? if not, could i make one somehow? Heep 11-25-2001, 02:52 AM I don't think GTS makes blackouts for the reflectors, and making some might be hard....but....you can get smoke tint spray that you could spray both the lights and the reflectors with for a smooth smoked look... k2nride 11-25-2001, 07:45 PM where can i get that? also would you be able to tell they are still orange and red? Heep 11-25-2001, 09:22 PM I'm not sure where to get it, probably just your local auto parts shop maybe. It would end up looking like this: http://www.escortracing.com/misc/misc1/esc4.JPG 911escortGT 11-06-2005, 11:48 AM i have a 91 escort and i painted my reflectors to match my car and with three coats and 3 coats of clear they look damn sexy you can tell they are there but it defanatly looks better Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
