i have the tools to install it myself but i would rather let a professional install it. Anyone know where they install this type of stuff? or if i had to do it myself what tools are recommended.... all i have is an old soldering iron... dunno if i should try

i wouldn't. you should find a good electrician experienced with soldering with chips.
