Mgb Coupe

I've found a MGB Coupe, I don't know the yer, or differences in years for that matter, but its a bit of a fixer upper.
I haven't seen too may of these around, how difficult are they to come by?

I've heard of people swapping BMW engines and tranny's into these things is that a common swap? anyone here done that?

also this one has wire wheels with the spinner deal holding the wheels on, can these be swapped out for a standard bolt on brake/wheel setup?

The MGB GT isn't all that rare. Parts for MGBs (including GTs) are not hard to come by. Look into Victoria British or Moss Motors.

Although I've never heard of anyone putting a BMW engine in them, that doesn't mean it hasn't been done. A common swap for the GT is the Rover 3.5L V8, which was a factory option on cars sold in England.

There are conversions to remove the wire wheels, but wires are usually more desirable.
