Anyone using SAFC without an ITC?

To correctly tune the air/fuel mixture on an R33 is an APEXi SAFC sufficent or does the ignition curve need remapping as well?
Is there anyone out there just using the SAFC with good results?

Im using S-AFC on my GTR w/o an ITC, and manage to get a better response on low-mid range and more power on high range, dunno if it works better with an ITC, but Im planning to change to a PowerFC, coz its the best.
