2001 Nissan Pathfinder - Installing Stereo

I have a 2001 Pathfinder, has the bose stereo system, leather seats, etc. I wanna install some speakers, but I'm not sure where the best place to put them is... I want something in the range of 7-13'' speakers. I also plan on putting an xbox in there somewhere, as long as a 7'' flatscreen. Any suggestions? Or know of anyone who has done this? My cousin is a stereo genius, and can pretty much fit any speaker/box in a car, he builds all of his to fit whatever car he drives at the moment. Just keep in mind the 13's need exactly 5 sq ft of air inside the box (speakers with portholes).

Im no stereo pro.. but If I was you I would consider looking into a Solo Baric Kicker sub. These things Slam!!!! I had a box made for under the back seat in my extended cab GMC Sierra. I would show the sub box to people before I actually let em' sample the sound (whenever possible) and its just amazing the output from these things at a fraction of box volume that a "normal" sub-setup would use. Like I said im no pro and I have not been to a stereo shop in years so im not up to date with the newest products available. I bought the sub a few years ago with a kicker amp and I still use it. I pumped 450 watts into this thing all the time and she just keeps "kicken" :) I havent put in my Pathfinder yet. The bose system thats in there right now is keeping me happy at the moment but im sure I will add it one day.

... Just my thoughts... not sure if this type of setup would be feasible for you but it would save you allot of room... even if you want two or three of these things going but believe me... you dont need it! Unless of course its for compitition.

That sounds like a good idea. It would definately save me the space, and that's good, but I don't know if the output from those speakers can match the ones I use. I use the vehicle for roadtrips, and I drive a lot, the system in my car is the only thing that keeps me driving it, so it has to be good. I'll check that out though. Does bose make something like that? Or avalanche? I'm big fans of those speaker companies, and I trust them. Oh, and if you put those speakers in your Pathfinder where would you put them? And what year is yours?

hehe.. yeah I just edited my post to include my signature in it. I just made it with the pics I took tonight... but yeah its a 2003 SE and I like it allot. Im quite sure that I never enjoyed driving my previous truck as much when I got it.

But about the speakers... jsut go into a local stereo shop that sells Kicker.. im sure you will be pleasantly surprised with what kicker has to offer the space cautious stereo enthusiast.

Hope this is not the wrong "place" for this- I did not see a classified section.

Just traded my '03 Pathfinder in and have the factory step bars (which I removed when I bought it) as well as a rear cargo liner, WeatherFlector window visors (both from mats.com), as well as the Nissan Factory mud/slush mats (black) and a bug deflector- everything pretty much like new- I had 14K on it. The mats were $60 from the dealer, the cargo liner about the same, $80 for the visors, and about $70 for the bug deflector. Don't really know what the step bars are worth- they are mint, though. Make an offer if you have any interest- it's all just sitting in my garage. I'd like to see somebody use it all. I would like to sell it all together (except the bars, as your vehicle probably has them!).

Thanks!
