Cold Air Intake for my 99 jetta IV VR6

Whats goin on everyone, just signed in here because i thought it would be helpful when i needed opinions on things for my car. I'm getting a cold air intake soon and dont want to spend too much, maybe 220 tops. I was looking at AEM, Injen, Neuspeed, and ABD Racing. I like the ABD Racing intake the best, but i would like a LAN pipe to make it a cold air intake, and thats another 100 bucks i don't have. What are your opinions on the above brands intakes, have you used them, which ones give u the most bang for your buck, sound the best, etc. Also, i was checking out the ABD big bore intake and see that it's not "road use" legal, why is that? i have inspection in january, so debating on whether i should get that. What are your thoughts on the big bore? does it really make that much difference, say in conjunction with a p-flo intake? thanks a lot for all your help, I really could use it with this.
