Does anyone know if the engine in the 1981 5000 turbo is the same as in the 1981 - 1985 UR-quattro? I know the intakes are different but the rest seems to be the same....

from what i can pick up on , as i live in uk, the 5000 turbo is the 200 quattro turbo, then the basic block is the same, the head could be diffent metal other than the aluiminun on the Ur-quattro, i have not found what it is yet, but i beleve every think is the same apart from car specific like you said the intakes are diffent so the other bits could change sligily. - oh year the only other thing that may differ is the WP,MB,RR verson of the Ur-quattro, ccant rember witch is witch i have not been to any meetings for the club latey
