R33 Speed limiter..how do I remove it?gdzook 11-13-2001, 08:48 PM Hi all, I guess the title says it all on this one..is it the same as an R32 as in cut wire 55 or whatever? Thanks Scott TINDUCK RACING 11-14-2001, 09:08 AM ...well, it's wire 53, but apart from that, you've got it.... cheers, Jon. xlr8gtst 11-14-2001, 09:25 PM How do you go about doing it on a r32?? Morra 11-15-2001, 12:24 AM Where abouts is this wire 53? initialD 11-15-2001, 06:00 AM How do i get to my (r33) ecu first thing.......i duno how to take the kick panel out grrr i dun want to break anything 2nd by cutting wire 53 do i just cover the 2 ends up?? i hope this wont effect my ecu in the long run. TINDUCK RACING 11-15-2001, 03:27 PM {sigh}....here we go again......;) pull off the plastic sill protector(the one with SKYLINE written on it) from inside the door aperture...look under the passenger footwell, there is a black plastic nut holding the kick panel to the bulkhead...remove this aswell....you can now pull the kick panel safely away from the car. ....Hello ECU !!!!!! .....3 nuts hold the ECU to the body...remove them and pull the unit GENTLY away... .....find wire 53 and cut it......tape up the ends to prevent the possibility of contact....re-assemble all the bits of Skyline..... .....BYE BYE Limiter........ YES it works YES we've all done it YES some people experience a little hesitation at about 140kph YES it's completely safe (unless you drive like a twat) YES it's totally FREE NO you don't have to pay hundreds for a de-limiter NO you won't kill your ECU YES you can always reconnect a cut wire if you stuff it up YES I will attach a picture.... (this applies to the R33...think R32 is pretty similar) .....have fun dudes Jon. initialD 11-15-2001, 10:44 PM URA LEGEND MATE Velocity 11-15-2001, 11:42 PM Hi, does this work on a R34? TINDUCK RACING 11-16-2001, 09:42 AM Velocity: dunno ...never been lucky enough to have a R34.....would guess so though...nothing to stop you having a look at the ECU....see if it looks the same........ laters Jon. GTS-4 Ben 11-16-2001, 05:01 PM I also notice at my car it hits a liiter at around 200 in 4th gear... any one also had this.? I think if I put it in 5th it should keep going though.. Ben TINDUCK RACING 11-17-2001, 07:22 PM Quote: around 200 in 4th gear ....tut tut shouldn't be going that fast anyways :D :D ........must be some damn straight roads round where you are Ben.....:) laters Jon. GTS-4 Ben 11-18-2001, 08:59 AM Well yeah there are. I had it electrically timed and hit the stupid limiter!!! The road was like 5km long, so I could have got a good speed.. papabendi 01-15-2009, 07:02 PM I think the R34 is wire 29 from the ecu, but not 100%... I have an ecu diagram which says 29 is the Vehicle Speed Sensor Signal, which is the equivalent to the R33 wire 53... But as i said, not 100% sure, i really want to find out as i have a 34 with the annoying speedcut papabendi 01-28-2009, 01:55 PM I think the R34 is wire 29 from the ecu, but not 100%...
