Re730, Fm901, Es100?Alan0330 06-23-2003, 12:28 AM I have a 93 Civic LX on 15s, tires size 195/50/15. I'm deciding between Bridgestone RE 730, Dunlop FM 901 and Yoko AVS ES100. Can someone give me some insights on them? In terms of treadwear, dry/wet traction, turn-in response, feedback and breakaway??? Thanks in advance! SilverY2KCivic 06-23-2003, 01:15 AM I hear the ES100's would probably be the best bet in terms of wet/dry traction, not to mention quite a few racers (drifters and auto-x'ers alike) use them as well. A spokesperson for Advan (Yokohama's Japan leg of the company) told me that the ES100's are probably the best tires Yoko has out in the US. I'm going to be getting me a set of them in the next couple of weeks. Dezoris 06-23-2003, 09:49 AM I have a few guys on my forums getting them now. Here are there reviews Login here first or create an account sorry http://www.automotivetech.org/forum/index.php user name: guest pass: guest http://www.automotivetech.org/review/showproduct.php?product=37 http://www.automotivetech.org/review/showproduct.php?product=47&sort=1&thecat=14 The RE730 is in the second revision, I am a big fan of Bridgestone, but for the price the ES seem to be a better deal. The FM901s are great too, you are talking about tires that are very comparable. For cost and longevity go with the ES, for grip and go with the RE730s or FM. The RE730s will be the better wet tire as well more rounded. Good luck Ace$nyper 06-23-2003, 11:21 PM FM901s i use them right now and love them the others are good too. b18c dx 06-24-2003, 01:23 AM falken azenis ( sp? ) i have heard nothing but nice about them, except in the rain, but hey no tire is perfect. and i know thats not part of the list but they are good tires. That they are. If i was going for pure grip I'd get them, but I want something that'll do decently in the rain as well, and I hear the ES100's are great in rain. Dezoris 06-24-2003, 09:58 AM The Azenis RS are limited in sizes. 3SGTE 06-26-2003, 05:42 PM Azenis!!! They come in 205/50/15 for your cars, and they are like dirt cheap too...if i had a 4ug Honda that what most definatly what I would get. Too bad they dont come in staggered sizes.....
