Cool finished skyline(first tamiya model)

well here it is, the finished skyline. I hope to get outside shots once it stops raining here. If i put out the car now it would proly wash away. The interior is a custom mix for a chocolate red. and the body is gunmetal (for got the ts number). other then that nothing major. the gtr emblims were handpainted instead of using the decal and so was the weird red light on the back. Window trim was done frehand but other then that this kit is stock. Enjoy.

Beautiful! Although you've got one of the reverse light lenses next to the license plate painted the wrong color. I don't remember what order, but one is clear and the other is red.

Thumbs up

Good stuff! Gun metal seems to really suit the Skylines.

Could you please post a close-up picture of the front GT-R emblem? I understand that it would be hard work painting it and you did a great job. I'm interested in this kit but I'm worried of screwing up the logo cos my painting sucks.

emblem

id gladly post a better pic but it might take me a bit. its still pouring out over here. but i took a toothpick, (one of the solid ones) and sharpend it on sandpaper. then dipped it in the paint andd dottet it on. any paint that mised i would then use a paper towel bit that was twisted t obe really thin and use that. the paint just flows on if u do it right. and if u do it wrong the paint whipes off, (if ur using acrylic). And about the rims, they are the stock rims that came with the car. I think they suit the car rather well. If it ever clears up over here ill gladly get outside shots.
