Under hard braking, my car pulls to the left at 'fast' speeds, eg100kph. The left front wheel will lockup first. Obviously emergency braking is a bit hairy, not to mention slowing down from 160 at the drags. What would cause this? Wheel alignment was done recently.
Bad tyres? Braking system? Who's best to diagnose this in Auckland?

Could it be that your front left brake is gripping more than the right? Or the right brake isn't really working?

lets just say that its alot safer if it pulls to the left than the right. Pulling in the direction of oncoming traffic isn't all its cracked up to be.:rolleyes:

As R33 said, My mate had his discs machined and they machined one more than the other which caused the car to pull to one side under braking. Maybe get this checked?

I haven't machined mine for a long time and I've done it maybe twice before. It could be time for new discs..

I just thought there might be a way to shift the brake bias. I'll just need to get someone to have a look at it sometime.

That'd be the best bet!

Maybe a wheel cylinder on the right side is seized? There are 4 cylinders per wheel at the front and depending on age the rubbers tear and allow moisture into the cylinders. If one seizes you'll get differential braking across the axle.
