Temporary stalls when letting off of throttleSupheav 06-20-2003, 09:59 AM I was hoping someone out there would be able to help me with my little problem. I own a 91 dodge shadow 2.2L. I'm having a problem right now where if i'm driving on the highway for around 20min or so the car will start to temporarily stall out when I lift my foot off the gas peddle. The car surges back and then keeps going. It has a manual transmission. When I ran the on board diagnostic The codes that came out were (12 - problem with stand by memory circuit. Direct battery input to controller disconnected within the last 50 ignition key-ons. 24 - Throttle position sensor high or low. 32 - an open or shorted condition detected in the egr transducer solenoid circuit. Possible air/fuel ratio imbalance not detected during diagnosis. 33 - Air conditioner clutch relay circuit. An open or shorted condition detected in the air conditioning clutch relay circuit. My car has no A/C.) I'm leaning towards replacing the throttle position sensor however if anyone has some advice that would be excellent. Thanks Dave rh13440 06-28-2003, 10:14 AM I own the same car!. I JUST did one of these symptoms at work yesterday morning. Everything that you listed, except the AC will do that. An easy way to check your TPS is to take and look at your base voltage. With the throttle at idle you should have about. 0.48 +- .05 volts. As the throttle increases to WOT the voltage should increase to about 4.5 volts. Check it with your scanner. If the voltage is steady then that is not the problem. With the older systems you are supposed to check the lowest number first and correct that, they will give faulty codes if something is jacked up. Like your ECM/PCM, I think that there was a code in there for faulty voltage to it. Start there, other wise you are going to spend alot of money on sensors that are not broken.
