Electric aerial up, down switch, if your car doesn't have one someone may of put it there to do something else.

it actually switches between full height and half height on the factory electric radio antenna, but is very useful for other things also (boost, lights, etc.)

YES, boost controller, fog lights, under car neon, whatever you want to wire up to it really - it is a simple on/off switch.

well my car never had that switch - my aerial goes up and down automatically whenever I change between the CD/MD and TUNER buttons on my stereo...

was it an option? or only something on the '96 or newer models? (my car's older than that )

I just had a blank 'face' in that spot (like u get when u miss out on an option)....but it has since been used for an alarm

My head unit also controls the antenna up/down automatically. The switch in my car controls the aerial position - either half or all the way up. Is this normal?

i got fried who got that switch
it control the short antenna at the corner left of the bumper
it is actually parking aid to help the driver to estimate the distance of the front left corner of the car
