I'm close to a sub 13 1/4whatsisname 11-11-2001, 04:08 AM Got a 13.1 @ 109.5 with a 2.1 60' today @ Adelaide International Raceway Full street trim on 13psi boost, 36psi in the rears, 3000rpm launch, spare wheel in the back & 3/4 of a tank of gas. So I'm confident I can crack a high 12 :) kabab 11-11-2001, 04:26 AM hrmm why do you luanch at 3000rpm ? do you slip the clutch or drop it ? Sounds good mate keep it up i can't wait to you pull a 12 :) meggala 11-11-2001, 04:35 AM very nice matt drop the tyre pressures alittle some vht and you never know. a great result I would love to see you crack the 12's man meggala OzzieR33 11-11-2001, 04:36 AM awesome stuff mate:eek: :D keep us informed, 1.4 tank of petrol no spare and 22psi in the rear tyres should do it for u easy blacksky33 11-11-2001, 04:39 AM 13.1s sh#t thats fast what mods have you done to your car:eek2: whatsisname 11-11-2001, 04:46 AM Kabab, I drop the clutch. Why only 3000?, well as today was my 2nd ever go @ drags on a strip I wasn't sure on how much I could drop it at (on the street any more than 2500-2700 & I go slower). I really wanted to see how I'd go running it as do on the road any day of the week, hence the spare wheel/fuel load & 36psi. I should've dropped the rear pressures, wound up the boost, & gave it 5000rpm of the line, but there's always next time :) blacksky33, Edit: included sig, to show mod's kabab 11-11-2001, 05:15 AM I usually luanch at 3500-4000rpm and slip the clutch and the thing flies :) But you have much more power then me so it will probably kill your clutch more. brendonm 11-11-2001, 06:12 AM nice time dude, that is hauling butt! You've certainly got the potential for sub 13's... whatsisname 11-11-2001, 06:27 AM Kabab, If I slip the clutch I fry it (still running a basic clutch set-up), I can probably get my 60' down to 1.9 (give or take) with a bit more practice/playing. Bren, Thanks mate :D kabab 11-12-2001, 03:57 AM Jezz you still running the standard clutch i wonder how long that will last :):):(:(:) Keep up the good work :) matlowth 11-13-2001, 11:09 AM Matt, Awesome time mate! :) Hope u'll be taking it back to the track soon to crack 12's!!!! matt whatsisname 11-15-2001, 01:41 AM Thanks mate. Yeah I'm keen to hit the strip again, next AIR meet is in December. Have ya' had a Gtech run yet?, 12's???, I know you can do it man. Bugalugs 11-19-2001, 04:55 AM Great effort dude:sun: I'll have 2 come out next meet to watch ya crack the 12`s:) Matt wil25t 11-19-2001, 06:42 AM I have trouble launching my r33gtst always seem to get too much wheelspin... could be my tyres but i neva seem to get off the line quick enough :( any suggestions on how to launch? I have the usual mods airfilter exaust and 10psi boost. whatsisname 11-19-2001, 07:21 AM Bugalugs, Thanks mate. If I'd been thinking I would've posted a few days b4 the last run, but it was a spur of the moment thing, "Hmmm, hey the drags are on today I might go down & see how I go" :D wil25t, I'm still learning myself mate, it's just a matter of practice, try launching from low revs (~2000rpm) & work your way up till you only get a tiny bit of w/spin without bogging down. I find dumping the clutch works best for me. Old hard rear tyres will make it really tricky to get away without excessive w/spin:( Matt Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
