boost gauge

hi guys,

Im getting the turbosmart 2 stage boost controller and a boost gauge aswell.

Does anyone know how to actually hook up the boost gauge???
Im not really sure and dunno if it will have instructions or not. Same with the boost controller.

So could someone please tell me how to connect up a boost gauge and the boost controller in "lamens" terms. (im not too mechanically minded)

Even though, it's off topic, I just can' get over the fact that my freind calls the boost gauge a "Turbometer". LOL

the turbosmart controllers have instructions with them. As do most gauges. U just need to know whats what in your engine bay to set them up properly after following the instructions.

If your boost gauge is a mechanical one, you'll just have to hook it to a vacuum line coming out from the intake manifold. If it is an electronic boost gauge, you'll have a pressure sensor or something that sends a signal back to the boost gauge.

For the boost controller, better let a mechanic do it, as different boost controller has different setup.

There is a brass bolt about 3cm wide that is not screwed all the way located at the back of the plenum chamber near the idle control screw. Your boost guage will have a bolt the same size as the brass bolt. It is simply a matter of replacing one with the other and then feeding the pressure/vacuum line into the cabin.
Sorry I don't pick, I'm not that technically advanse.

Doc

Or you could just tee off the hose to the factory boost (MAP) sensor at mounted on the drivers side of the firewall
