Haltech E6K ECU?

Hi Guys,

A friend of mine has a Haltech E6K ECU up for sale, and I was wondering if anyone has used this ECU and if it is a good brand etc.
Does anyone know how much it would be worth new?
I've been told they go for around Aus $2000 or so.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks

my only comment is are you going to go and do a lot of mods to your car I.e you want a 12 second skyline if so I think they are ok if you are going to leave your car basically stock may be front mount and exhaust then there are cheaper things to get.
work out where you are going b4 you commit to a big investment like this. cheers

Thanks for the help guys.

The reason I am interested is because he is selling it for $1100 so I think it is a good deal (only a few months old), and so I think if I get it now, instead of doing mods and then realising I need an ECU, then I will save money in the long run.

Thanks again,

I have had one in my Mr2.. they are well engineered BUT. the wiring loom is very messy.. you need all sorts of sensors.. and they never run like a factory one and some say they fall out of tune.. for my money I would save an extra $900 and get a apexi power fc at least they bolt on with no dramas.

my 2 cents

I think they cost more like $1300 now but I could be wrong. $2000 may be a normal price including fitting and tuning. Which you wont get if you buy if off this guy for 1100 I assume.
