Just Picked Up A Coupe
Hey all
I've posted here like once or twice before and I don't own a 240, but my mom has purchased a 91 automatic coupe and she's only intending to keep it for a little while until she gets a new car, so this car will be mine after and I plan to swap it to a 5 speed and maybe do an SR20 swap, but I don't know about it, i'll have to consider it because I already have an AE86 that needs my attention more. This will be my fun project car later on.
Here is the only picture I have so car and hopefully by the end of the week, i'll have some more.
Anyways, I'm Roby and I just wanted to introduce myself to the forums officially.

it's official, Roby. i hate you. come in here and taunt me again with your car collection, and i'll ban you.
jk...but seriousley man. you already have 2 AE86's and you plan on importing an R32. sell ME the coupe when your mom is done with it, and i can use it as a side car. then i can have a coupe and a hatch.

Don't forget the IS300 or whatever I might be leasing for my dad's company, that will make like 5 cars. Now you really hate me.
I think I might part with it later when I convert it to 5 speed and shit, just talk to me then and we'll see what happens

if you already have a car you want to toy with, keep the 240sx stock and use it as a daily driver.... maybe some different wheels or outside stuff but keep her stock and have a decent driving daily beater, stock 240's don't handle bad at all.

I already have a daily driver, it's the SR5 corolla hatchback in my sig.
My GTS corolla is my project car, and this would be another project for me. Supposing I would have time for it with a skyline and 2 corollas to take care of.

SR20DETpower, that car, believe it or not, is a blast to drive. Even if it only has roughly 70hp in it's carbed engine, it has suprisingly quick acceleration. Ask Brian what he thinks of it. But hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
It's also super tail happy, which makes for a fun sideways ride, wether rain or shine.

to each his own, right?
the real question is which would be more fun to drive? in this case, i would say the AE86 since it's a 5-speed and that S13 is not. were it the other way around, i would probably agree with SR. although this IN NO WAY means i dislike your car Roby. you know how much of a 240 freak i am.
but that car IS fun to drive, even though i did only drive it around a parking lot a couple of times.
Roby, next time, let me do some driving on a ROAD.

Hey, you can take it for a spin on the road, no prob, because before I didn't have my plates, just my temp, so now it's cool. Hopefully I'll get those rims from Sam mounted with some cheap ass tires so she looks a little better.

The car has arrived, needs a few things fixed, but you can't complain for $1400 canadian. I'll have pictures up by this weekend or late friday.
