well i just go back from a new auo store that opened up down the street from my house (Advaced Auto Parts) and i wzs real surprised by their selection of paints and other things use full to modeling:biggrin: well i picked up some of that Bondo Ultimate and i saw some new Plasti Coat Kmeleon Kolors paint, i was just abouyt to buy it when i though," i should check on AF first":iceslolan. well most of know about the duplicolor mirage set, the plasti coat comes with everything separate. i separte can of base coat, 1 separate can of the color, and 1 separte can of clear. the cans are smaller (or shall i say skinnier) than the duplicolor, but you can by the clear and basecoat and when u run out of paint u dont need to buy a complete set again, also they come in some pretty sweet lookin colors (BTW they have this color that almost look like the sky would look on a clear night) so im wondering if anyone has tried these paints yet? any tips or bad epirinces with them?

I saw a picture on BMC where someone had tried the plasticote Kamealeon (sp???) on one of their cars. It looked like crap, but was applied over WHITE primer, which doesn't help that type of paint at all. I can't remember much else about it. Make sure to use black primer with it.

it all depends on what color it is.. for the darker colors use a darker base. for lighter, a lighter base.. that is the biggest thing about this kinda paint... . my real car has it on it (atleast it did, car is going through a change...big change). i used black as the base color.
