90 civic si hb engine swap help

i have a 1990 civic si wath a singile over head cam non v-tec 1.6 can i put a vtec head on it
b/c i'm looking at a b16a motor ecu axl wireharness and tranny for $1299 +$275 shipping and $275 motor mounts but wood i need to do a lot of custemizing to put that in
or can i just put a v-tec head and new ecu i know i sound like a kack@ss
but i have don a lot of work on cars just not hondas but now i'm just
100% in love with my si oh yeah wood my headers fit the b16a:confused:

Are those motor mounts for the B16 swap mounts? Cuz now you have a D series and you need swap mounts to put a B in. Anyway, yes you can put a VTEC head on from a D16Y8, or a D16Z6. But it won't give you NEAR as much power as the B16. No the header won't work.

yeah the motor mounts are the b16 mounts so i guess i'll just put the b16a but is that a direct bolt up it has the wireharness ecu but do i need to do any custem wireing b/c i have thought about just puting in a turbo
b/c the old motor has a lot of work in to it

Well, I was reading something about converting a 92-95 Civic Greddy Turbo kit for an 88-91, but it requires a lot of mods and you also cannot retain your AC if I remember correctly. Plus you can only boost that engine like 6 PSI so it wouldn't be worth it. Go with the B16:smile:
