ok i am looking at buying a 1991 VW golf its in good shape and stuff its stack everything like if u boight it new. i see potential for this car but i just not sure about it. what does everyone thing should i buy it and upgrade it or try a different car?

Different car, VW's are crappy. Unless it's diesel.
There are no performance upgrades for a golf, you would have to do everything custom which gets expensive. A Jetta is the only thing that has a decent aftermarket, and they are crappy too.
