Painting my Saab In Connecticut

I'm not sure where to go to get my car painted. I live in Southwestern CT, near NY...I just bought a '94 Saab 9000 Aero, but the only drawback is that it is teal...I reall want to give the car a glossy black finich that will hopefully last the next 4-5 years or more with good care...can anyone reccomend a place in the area that i could look into...i'm not looking to spend upwards of $700....i'm low on cash but really don't want to "Go Maaco"...Thanks for your help

My girlfriend's father who restores classic chevy cars and trucks said with my car, i should go Maaco and his only advice was to make sure my windows were rolled up because they wouldn't do it....Any automotive painting aficionados have any advice or warnings....Please!

I've always found that some of the best (and least expensive) paint jobs were done by small independants. People that know about these shops would be those who restore classics like mustangs, british cars, etc. You can find these peole thru the local car clubs - especially Mustang because they're well organized. Start here for local events to find them:
