Tiptronic transmission problems

Re: 1995 Porsche 911 (993) Cab: The transmission is not smooth; it "clunks" going from 2 to 3 and then into 4th. Not always - sometimes as smooth as butter. Any ideas?

My '95 does exactly the same thing,,, I've only had the car for about 800 miles of a total 25,300, I love it except for this frustrating issue

Re: Tiptronic transmission problems

Ya there are other cars such as the new Z4 that are having problems with the manumatic transmissions... I would stick with either manual or automatic

Hello all I just wanted to ssay I drove my girlfreinds Acura RSX with the "manumatic transmission" and it has the same feel sometimes smooth as butter othre times a sort of lag. I would just let off the gas a little to let the tranny catch up I guess you could say. I love the car, but like you say either stick to manual or automatic.
