Cabriolet problems

Re: 1995 Porsche 911 (993) Cab: I have a convertible top that will not unfold. The two locking motors unlatch from the windshield, but that's it, nothing else happens. Any ideas?

THE CAR HAS 2 MICRO SWITCHES AT THE TOP .TRY TO LIFT THE TOP ONCE UNLOCKED JUST HIGH ENOUGH TO LET THE MICRO SWITCHES RELEASE ALL THE WAY.IF THAT DONT WORK YOU CAN MANUALLY OPEN THE TOP BY LOOSNING THE 2 BOLTS THAT CONNECT TO THE DRIVES ON EACH SIDE.YOUR OWNERS MANUAL WILL EXPLAIN.IF THAT FAILS THERE IS LOTS OF WIRING AND SWITCHES AND RELAYS THAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM.YOU MAY HAVE TO SEE AN EXPERT.NOTE IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL AND THE 2 DRIVES ARE NOT TIMED PROPER THE MOTOR IS STRONG ENOUGH THAT IT CAN WRECK YOUR TOP AND BRAKE IT.GOOD LUCK,DAVE
