97 Vw Jetta Gl Tuneup

My boyfriend is doing a much needed tune up to my Jetta...He has purchased the following parts

Dist Cap
Dist Rotor
Plugs and Wires
Fuel Filter
Air Filter
Oil Filter
Intake Manifold Gaskets (incase the intake manifold needs to come off)

Does he need anything else??

Any Help would be greatly appreciated!!

What's the milage on the car? Dealer history?

Have the belts been changed recently?
And you might want to flush the brake fluid. As well as replace the brakepads.

The mileage is 91K
The timing belt has not been replaced but we have ordered it and going to have it replaced, and he just did the front brakes, and the rears we had done last week.

Dealer History I am second owner, and I dont' have exclusive dealer history

Ok, but you havn't flushed the brake fluid the three years you have owned the car? You should.
You should probably flush and change all fluids.

You may want to reread the post above...Uh, Yes obviously if we just did the front and the rear brakes...Obviously we Bled all the nasty yuckly fluid from the front, and rear brakes...

Oh, I'm just messin with ya, trying to be funny. Sounds like a complete tune-up to me. I honestly cant think of anything else he'd have to do to get it running in tip-top shape, except maybe get his transmission serviced. That's something I could use pretty badly myself.
