problems with the air control

when ever my wife turns the air on in the car it barely comes out for settings 1-3 but on 4 it comes out to strong for her.. Is there a way to adjust this? Or do I need to change the blower out?

Thanks

You might need to replace your blower motor resistor. That is what controls your blower motor speed. Most of the times it is next to the blower motor. Good Luck.

okay...i went out and looked around and since I'm not that familiar with cars, I couldn't find the blower motor. I assume its near the firewall right? What does the resistor look like?

Thanks
Jeff

Go to the inside of the passenger side, front and remove the kick panel. Underneath there you will see a blower motor and next to the blower motor is the resistor. there are two bolts holding it in place. Disconnect the wiring to both, the blower motor and the resistor before removing the resistor. On the other side of the resistor you will see three coiled wires. That is the resistor. Pretty straight forward. Good Luck.
