Did Anyone Import Their Own Skyline?

has anyone here imported their own skyline to the US? w/o going through motorex that is, i am looking for someone who has actually done this. i am half way to having it figured out and am looking for some info regarding the car and safety stuff (on all the DOT forms that is)

I did

But mine is a race car - not street legal. BUt I am failry knowlegeable about importations though.

race car eh? so did you have to go through all of the epa and crash and safety stuff or did you just say "hey, its a race car" and the said "ok"?

well, it isn't that easy. It has to really be a race car, and you have to prove it to them through pictures, peititions, etc.

And once it is classified as a race car, it can never be titled or driven on the streets.

No DOT or EPA testign though.
