Yep I'll be there! Speedway on Saturday night and Pukekohe on Sunday. Yeeeeeha!
"Local favourite Greg Murphy grabbed provisional pole position on Friday for the New Zealand round of the Shell Series V8 Supercars at Pukekohe.
Murphy steered his Kmart Holden to the fastest lap of the day of 56.95 seconds.
That time eclipsed the previous V8 record at this circuit, set by Glenn Seton in 1996 when a dozen teams made the journey for some exhibition races."

Murphs team lodged a protest :argue: after the first race (they knew they had won) and won the protest giving the race to Murph who then went on to win races 2 and 3 for a complete victory in this round
Murph:monkeypis AUSSIES @ Pukekohe

I thought it was pretty good , its funny that alot of people who would normally go did not because of the stupid rules there were , like no chilly bins ( eskies) even if they had no alcohol in them , you had to empty them to take any food in , they only sold VB and Fosters while inside , for $4 a can and you could only buy 2 cans at a time . a hamburger was $6.80 . but well done Murphy , I am normally a Ford supporter but was happy that a NZer did so well .

yeah they certainly did make money from spectators , I did not go in but my mate lives right beside the track so we had a bit of a barbque and watched them on tv while listening to them , I am glad I was not rained on on Saturday , that was a huge shower . talking to my brother who was near the hairpin , he said that Ambrose showed the most skill , but his car did not have near the power of the HRT/K Mart cars. Murphy holds the outright lap record I think in a single seater . I was surprised that Radisich did not do better.
